Finance Assistant - office and home working - North West

£22,000 plus benefit (Mon-Fri, 35 hours) home & office based - Finance & accounts

Looking for mixed office and home working with a great bunch of people and a sector leading business?
Then this could be your perfect role!
We’re recruiting a Finance Assistant for a sector leading Leyland based software Solutions Company, a role which will see you working with a team of 4 to support the Management Accountant with all finance related matters
 
What you’re looking for….?
  • Assist with the preparation of Recurring and Once off Invoices
  • Maintenance of the Fixed asset register
  • Shared Responsibility for the integrity and maintenance of the purchase ledger
  • Preparing weekly payment runs
  • Monthly Bank account reconciliations
  • Monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Checking and Raising Purchase orders
  • Assist with the preparation of Cost of Sales and Stock reports
  • Assisting with the half year and year end audits
  • Approval for staff expense claim via Concur
And what we’re looking for….?
An enthusiastic team player with the ability to grasp and learn new concepts quickly, a great communicator with strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You don’t just accept the status quo but always seek out opportunities to add value and improve processes. A good analytical mind-set is key as the need to problem solve will occur on a daily basis.
1-2 years finance experience
  • Excel skills
  • Good all-round knowledge and experience of Finance department tasks
  • General awareness of VAT treatments
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage own workloads and meet deadlines
  • Superb communication skills
  • Team player but also able to work alone when needed
  • Experience with SAP or a similar system
