Customer Success Manager/Business Development Manager - South East

Up to £50k plus car allowance plus OTE £20k bonus - Sales & Marketing

Are you an experienced and driven Customer Success Manager or Business Development Manager with a proven track record in sales and are hungry for your next challenge? If so, we want you to bring your knowledge, grit and determination and join the growing sales team of one of the UK’s largest developers of pharmacy healthcare software.   

The Role: 

This is a field-based role covering London and the South East where you will generate new business within the pharmacy sector as well as upsell and account manage some existing customers.  You will be the accountable lead in the business for every customer in your territory, maximising the value of our client’s products and services. 

With around 400 people across the UK and part of a global 5000 strong group, you’ll see this client’s software used in over 40% of high street pharmacies, playing a key part in the health and wellbeing of a huge proportion of the UK’s population.  

Core responsibilities will include: 

  • Influencing, persuading and consensus building to develop the profile of the business with customers and key decision makers 

  • Developing deep knowledge of the customers in your territory by using your wider knowledge of the sector to support the customers in the effective use of the product and services offered. 

  • Increasing renewal rates and reducing churn in the customer portfolio 

  • Growing revenue through cross-sell and up-sell activities 

  • Driving new business growth through customer advocacy 

  • Managing Customer Success activities such as onboarding, training, service delivery and support 

  • Developing, maintaining and delivering the Customer Success Plan for each customer 

  • Providing insight and intelligence to the business, working closely with the Head of Marketing, Product Managers and Head of Service Delivery to anticipate and exceed the customer’s requirements. 

  • Recording all customer activity using the tool(s) provided by the company 

  • Producing weekly and monthly plans, reports and forecasts on customer engagement, activities and opportunities.  

What we’re looking for: 

  • Extensive experience in customer success management or business development with a proven track record in sales, ideally in software and/or healthcare 

  • Ambition and drive to succeed 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels inside and outside the business 

  • Ability to absorb and retain knowledge of the customers, their business and the market in which they operate 

  • A competent user of information technology, adaptable to learning new tools and techniques as required by the business 

  • The ability to influence through persuasion and negotiation 

  • Willingness to travel within your designated territory and beyond

This is a field-based role so full clean driving license essential  

Package includes a basic salary of up to £50k plus £20,000 OTE bonus, car allowance and a great range of other benefits.
