Are you highly motivated with a genuine interest in technology and a passion to deliver cutting-edge products? Are you looking for the opportunity to become an Associate Product Owner, developing your skills and career in a great working environment? Then we could have your perfect role……
Newton Blue is the in-house recruiter for one of the UK’s largest developers of front line clinical systems and solutions to the NHS and UK healthcare sector. Their systems are used across GP surgeries, hospitals, primary care and emergency services managing patient records and giving access to in-field real-time patient data.
We’re looking to recruit a number of graduate level Product Owners to join the existing team across Dundee and London. It’s a wide ranging role, one where you’ll never be bored, with the objective of delivering innovative, leading products which will benefit the healthcare of the UK population, enhance patient outcomes and increase efficiencies across the NHS.
So, what will you be doing?
Working closely with Product Management teams to create and maintain a product backlog
Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team
Creating product requirements
Planning and prioritising product feature backlogs and developments for the products
Assessing value, developing cases, and prioritising stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on projects with maximum value and are aligned with product strategy
Working with the Product Managers on prioritisation of the backlog, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
Working across various teams to ensure the mechanisms for release are in place
Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
Researching and analysing the market, users and the roadmap for the product, following competitors and the healthcare industry
Keeping abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
Providing fortnightly/monthly updates on feature/product delivery.
And what are we looking for?
We need people who are bright, articulate and imaginative, highly motivated with a real interest in tech and delivering great software products.
Degree educated, ideally within product, tech or healthcare (but not essential), with an understanding of Agile process and principles.
Eager to learn, with outstanding communication, organisational and time management skills, they’ll be creative thinkers with vision and a sharp analytical, problem-solving mind-set.
