We’re working with a Scottish based UK wide healthcare solutions company, one of the largest players in their field, looking to fill a brand new Product Director/Head of Product role to ensure they stay at the forefront of their sector. They’re currently going through a period of huge change moving away from desktop/server based solutions into cross platform apps which will open up huge new commercial opportunities across the entire healthcare landscape.
The role
This Product Director position is a brand new role which will see you building and expanding the Product teams and will be key to the future success and focus of the company.
You 'll have a holistic view of the overall business, managing 5 Product teams each responsible for their own specific market sector, solutions and product range.
Working within an agile environment each team will be self-sufficient and be made up of a Product Manager/Owner, developers and testers etc.
It’s a brand new approach and structure for the company - you’ll be working very closely with the CTO and will almost have a blank sheet of paper to design the product team set-up, methods, focus and product range.

They’re going through a period of massive technological change in their product and solutions range, moving away from desktop/server based towards an almost completely API approach.
These will work with their own systems and competitor solutions, allowing them to maximise opportunities arising over the next decade in the rapidly evolving healthcare sector - currently going through unprecedented change.
You?
You’ve worked in Product Management for a while, within software solutions and ideally with API’s – either in start-ups or more established businesses.
You’re already at Head of Product or Product Director level and have had responsibility for multiple product teams and multiple business strands.
You take a holistic view to product and business, are a great ideas person who can happily sit over product management, but are equally happy rolling your sleeves up and being hands on.
This is a brand new role for the company, so salary is open but will probably be somewhere in the range of £80,000 to £110,000 with benefits, bonus etc.
The role is based in Scotland so ideally you'll be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh. It will involve regular UK wide meetings and some international travel at times.
