We are looking for a Software Developer to join one of the leading Pharmacy and Optometry software solutions companies in the UK.

About the role

This Software Developer job based in Leyland, Lancashire, will see you initially involved in the delivery of one of their key product road-maps. You’ll be working as part of a motivated and experienced Scrum team, working together to deliver to strict timelines. Your role will include new development and ongoing maintenance and enhancements of software applications for both the community pharmacy and pharmaceutical markets.

What experience are we looking for?

Whether you are an experienced full stack Software Developer, or a bright Graduate/Junior Developer with some prior commercial experience, we are looking for a developer who is flexible on technologies, comfortable utilising a combination of programming tools and languages, including Delphi and .Net / C#. We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in technology and producing high quality code. You’ll be confident and a great communicator, as well as having knowledge and experience of:

  • .Net, C#
  • (Oracle, MS-SQL) RDBMS, SQL, T-SQL
  • Agile practices and software methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Continuous Integration, TDD, OOD)

If you do have prior Delphi coding experience, this would be a real advantage as the role will utilise this on an ongoing project, although it’s not wholly essential, training can be provided.

What's on offer

You’ll be part of a friendly and focused team working in modern, open plan offices with breakout spaces and a great eating/relaxing area. The business has a culture where everyone pulls together and is passionate about the solutions they deliver and the impact they have on healthcare across the UK.

They’re offering a competitive salary with an excellent range of benefits - including matched pension, health cash plan and well-being allowance - plus opportunities for your personal development and career progression longer term.
