We’re working with the largest developer of pharmacy software in the UK. Their software is used in more pharmacies than any other company, from small independents through to the largest high street pharmacies and supermarkets dispensaries. To achieve their next stage of growth and to capitalise on the launch of their new pharmacy suite next year, they’re looking to build an additional brand new 6 strong UK wide sales team. Depending on you location you will cover North of England or Scotland or London or South West or Midlands areas.
They’re not going down the normal route of looking for experienced sales people, instead they want people who have worked behind the counter in pharmacies - who understand the demands of working in a pharmacy, know the market and have insight into what customers actually want. People with the right personality and mind-set – friendly, confident and outgoing, able to learn about software solutions and great at conveying that to pharmacy system users.

You’ll be able to earn around £40,000 per year (made up of a basic salary of circa £20,000 plus bonuses) plus a company car, mobile, laptop, pension, life assurance and a range of other benefits.
We want to have the new team in place by the end of January or early February with everyone starting at the same time. You’ll be fully trained together, going through a proper induction and in-house learning and development programme.
What’s involved?
- Primarily home and field based you’ll be dealing with pharmacists face-to-face and over the phone. Discussing what software they use, what they like and don’t like about it, building and maintaining strong relationships
- You’ll be managing a specific geographical territory, visiting pharmacies for face-to-face meetings and demonstrations
- You’ll be taking them through demos of the company's software solutions and range of services, establishing their needs and answering their questions
- It’s all about knowledge, understanding, relationships and a consultancy led approach
- It’s about giving the customer what they want, delivering a superb end-to-end experience
- You’ll go into the office sometimes for meetings, training and to help you feel part of something bigger, but most of the time you’ll be in the field or working from home

What are we looking for?
Behind the counter pharmacy experience as a dispenser, technician or similar
An outgoing, confident, friendly and engaging personality
Great communication skills and able to articulate what the software does to a wide range of users
A natural ability to build strong and lasting relationships
Someone who believes in treating the customer well and delivering a great end-to-end customer experience every time
Self-motivated (you’re not office based so you do need get up and go), good at self-organising and managing your own workload
A commercially aware mind-set
A UK driving licence as you’ll be traveling to customers
Package
Monday to Friday with a 35 hour week.
Basic salary of circa £20,000 with a bonus/commission package which will give you a realistic opportunity to earn around £40,000.
