Product Analyst - London

This is an exciting and unique hybrid job covering a Product Owner/Product Analyst/Business Analyst skill set for a central London-based global media group. If you’re looking for a high profile, fast-paced and challenging role within a changing, lean agile environment then this is for you.

It really is exciting times here; they’re are embarking on a wide range of transformation and change projects across their digital, technical and non-technical business functions ensuring they adopt the best methods, approaches and technology across the group. The objective is to increase traffic, provide “best in class” UX, improve access and consumption of content and make their digital offering fully future-proof and fit for purpose.

What will you be doing?

This high-profile role will see you working closely with senior stakeholders, including the Head of Business Change and CTO, and taking responsibility for the design and delivery of small change projects.

You will be;

  • translating business strategy into technical requirements aligned to business needs
  • providing high quality definition of the requirements for a mixture of complex backend system software development projects which enhance the customer experience and increase conversion
  • successfully leading business workshops to gather requirements within a transforming business and IT matrix with positive stakeholder engagement and buy-in
  • working with business and senior technology stakeholders to define optimal solutions, including transforming business processes and creating new data models
  • creating harmonised requirements documentation by meeting with stakeholders from multiple departments and disciplines and determining a best in class approach
  • creating user stories, work flows and technical analysis, negotiating with matrixed business and IT stakeholders with conflicting requirements to gain acceptance and approval
  • the ‘go to’ expert for all development queries and provide expert guidance that allows development teams to determine solution design and obtain initial high level estimates 
  • understanding at a high level all business requirements for changes and be an expert in the business ways of working (current, future and during transition)
  • be the subject matter expert within the development team to mature epics and create stories
  • researching and evaluating software solutions from 3rd party suppliers
  • promoting system & process improvement using behaviour driven development (BDD)

Your skill set;

  • can work with multiple senior stakeholders, ideally within a matrixed structure and will thrive within a fast paced, lean agile environment
  • a background covering product, business and analysis
  • can create user stories which are easy to understand, and have developed, owned and managed them across technology and business areas for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • experienced in defining and documenting high profile projects and with promoting system and process improvements using behaviour driven development (BDD). Ideally, but not essentially you will be BA certified (CBAP,CCBA) and/or Lean Six Sigma or BMP certified.
  • have a naturally inquisitive and analytical mind-set and will love getting involved in multiple projects, technologies and business functions
