Product Owner (x2) - Home based/remote

£30,000 to £45,000 plus benefits - Product

We’re recruiting 2 Product Owners for one of the largest developers of GP Practice software, Pharmacy software, Healthcare Data and healthcare software solutions in the UK. With around 350 people in the UK they’re part of a wider 5000+ strong global tech and healthcare solutions business.
Newton Blue is the in-house and on-site recruiter for a number of the UK’s leading tech and healthcare companies and this exciting new opportunity is for a Product Owner to join the Product Management team of one of them, focusing on GP Practice software solutions. The Product Owner will be working alongside the in-house development team and customers to understand new product requests, taking responsibility for prioritising the team’s product backlog and ensuring the delivery of products to GP practice customers. The product and development teams are spread between  the company’s  Dundee and London offices however the Product Owner can work remotely and can therefore be based anywhere in the UK.
 
Summary of the role:
  • Work with the in-house development team
  • Understand new feature/product requests (national/end user) and prioritise product backlog
  • Liaise with the customer (internal or external) to understand the requirements
  • Arrange Discover sessions across teams to understand requirements, dependencies, and agree solution
  • Create user stories and attend refinements sessions as part of the development cycle.
  • Provide feedback to customers/stakeholders during the feature/product lifecycle/Assurance
  • Create value proposition for key features and make available for Product Managers/Marketing
  • Work with User assistance to ensure material is supplied to allow UA to be complete for SIT hand over
  • Responsible for ensuring the feature is completed and delivered to the customer on time
  • Contribute to the Product Management bi-weekly show and tells
  • Organize bug review meetings to assess issues in live and prioritise within backlog
  • Follow product management processes, ensuring all documentation required is created/completed

  • Product experience and knowledge within software or healthcare
  • Someone bright, intelligent, articulate with a keen mind and the ability to gather, analyse and disseminate information
  • Someone personable with an engaging manner and excellent communications skills
  • A passion for delivering great product and technology
  • Ideally degree educated in a product related field or with some product sector experience
