Product Owner / Business Analyst - Bristol

Are you looking for your next Product Owner role in Bristol? 

You may already be a Software Product Owner, or a Business Systems Analyst with extensive software product experience seeking a new opportunity.

We're working with a market leading developer of application software and implementation services to the global healthcare insurance sector. We are looking for a Product Owner/BA to liaise with key clients and to support the technical, design and development teams, defining requirements and solutions for their specialist software systems.

You will be based in their central Bristol head office, with occasional travel, and this job will see you working closely with Consultants, Development Delivery Managers and Scrum Development teams.

You will help to support and guide the successful design, release, and delivery of software for clients. Core responsibilities will include:

  • helping to define requirements
  • write user stories, acceptance criteria and user journeys 
  • reviewing business systems impact analysis
  • creating  product roadmaps

You will participate in Sprint reviews and lead product demos, working along with the developers to review and manage product backlog.

Ideally your background will be as an experienced PO/BA in a fast paced, large scale Agile software development environment with direct exposure to external clients. 

As you’ll be collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis, you’ll need to be a confident individual, with excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as having a a proactive, forward thinking mindset. You’ll be a natural problem solver with an analytical and practical mind, you enjoy investigating, troubleshooting and resolving issues. As the business is increasingly looking at browser and mobile delivery, prior experience of web based projects, cross platform and/or responsive design would be of great benefit.

Any experience in TFS, Financial Services or Insurance sectors, and any additional language skills such as French or Mandarin, would be really useful but it’s not essential.
