Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer - North West

£up to £45k + excellent benefits - Cloud and Infrastructure

We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading pharmacy and healthcare software solutions providers.
You’ll be part of their professional and dedicated UK IT team supporting company and client systems. 

What will you be doing..
The role will see you providing an effective, efficient and high quality support service for both the company and client systems and infrastructure; including data centres, servers, networks & telephony systems. Proactively monitoring the IT infrastructure in order to meet agreed service levels and aim for complete customer satisfaction.

You will contribute to the wider IT strategy, take a lead on IT infrastructure projects and act as an escalation point to end users.

Design, plan and implement new solutions in accordance with business requirements, and understanding the risks and security considerations involved.

The person they’re looking for..
You’re an experienced and confident Senior Infrastructure Engineer, with proven commercial hands-on experience in a 3rd line or similar infrastructure role. An excellent communicator, with well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to translate technical language into non IT jargon.  You are a natural problem solver, who can diagnose complex issues, delivering solutions efficiently and professionally. You have skills and experience in:

  • Remote Access Solutions – VPN/MFA
  • Firewalls & Switches
  • WAN, LAN, VLAN trunking etc
  • Microsoft Windows and Windows Server OS
  • ADFS, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory
  • MS Exchange
  • VMWare & VDI
  • Security Tooling: Email Gateway, AV & Endpoint Security, Threat & Vulnerability Solutions
  • Application and Patch Deployment

If you have prior experience of Linux administration/PowerShell/Office 365 this would be highly beneficial, but it’s not essential.
