We’re looking for a talented and proactive Backend Software Developer with great technical ability and a good head for business to join an expanding software team in Leyland.  Newton Blue is the on-site recruiter for one of the leading UK providers in supply chain management technology. You will form part of the team responsible for the development and maintenance of a variety of internal systems and applications, as well as their market leading supply chain platform.

You’re next role?

You might be an ambitious and driven Graduate looking for your first role or you might be an established Developer with a couple of years experience looking to further your career.  This is a role where you can learn, grow and develop, you will work on projects throughout the whole lifecycle, developing in C# as well as working with SQL Server / Entity Framework and MS Visual Studio. The role will involve communication with various departments, to gather requirements and manage expectations throughout the process.

Are you what they’re looking for?

You'll be familiar with C# .NET, .NET Core/.NET 6 and have a solid understanding of the practical application of agile development methods.
Ideally you'll have some exposure to Source Control systems eg. GIT and software project management systems such as Atlassian JIRA.

You'll be highly motivated to succeed personally and work well as part of a team.
You'll be self driven, pragmatic and analytical with a keen eye for detail.
You'll possess great problem solving skills and work with a smile on your face!
