We are looking for an experienced Test Analyst, with great communication skills, to be a key part of a highly skilled Agile development team working in a fast-paced environment.
We’re working with a market leading developer of application software and implementation services to the global healthcare insurance sector on this new opportunity in Bristol, which has come about as a result of an internal promotion.
The company has circa. 120 staff and part of a wider global group with over 4200 employees in 10+ countries, they have an enviable client list across the UK, US, and EMEA, with an exceptional reputation within the industry.
As a Software Tester you'll be involved with both manual and automation testing. This role will be based in the company’s central Bristol head office and will see you working in the full software development lifecycle, in 3 weekly sprints, on the core product and web applications. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary, self-organising Agile development team, plus you’ll link in with other technical and business support colleagues across the business. You’ll be a naturally inquisitive individual who loves problem solving and has an eye for the detail. Strong planning and organisational skills are key, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You'll need to demonstrate your experience of:
- Quality assurance, test automation and manual test execution
- Design and maintenance of test plans and cases
- SQL skills using SQL Server and/or Oracle
- Experience of Windows and Web application testing and Web Services
- Review of and contribution to requirements and design artefacts
- Understanding of Agile working and Continuous Delivery
- Use of testing tools and VB Scripting skills.
It would also be great if you have some of the following knowledge or skills, but it's not essential:
- Understanding of insurance, financial or accounting applications
- Team leadership
- Language skills such as Mandarin, French or other European Languages
