Ref: 137 Date Posted: Monday 25 Feb 2019

We are looking for an experienced Mid-Senior level C# Developer to join one of the leading Pharmacy software solutions companies in the UK. Their software and data solutions are trusted to manage the health, wellbeing and medical data of a huge percentage of the UK population. You’ll see their systems used in pharmacies across the country from small independents through to national chains and supermarkets.

This C# Developer job will be based in Leyland, Lancashire, and will see you heavily involved in the delivery of one of their newest product roadmaps, working on greenfield projects and development. You’ll be part of a motivated development team, using the latest Microsoft technologies and actively involved in Agile Scrum practices.

You’ll be an enthusiastic and competent C# Developer who is confident and tech savvy, happy to express new ideas and introduce innovations. Team leadership, communication and collaboration skills are vital, plus you’ll have plenty of experience of participating in design workshops, stand ups and reviews

You'll be able to confidently demonstrate your extensive commercial software development skills, along with knowledge and experience of:

  • C#, .NET Framework, UWP, XAML, Visual Studio.
  • Design Patterns, GoF, MVC, MVVM.
  • Web Services, REST, XML, JSON.
  • Databases – PostgreSQL. MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL
  • Agile practices and software methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Continuous Integration, TDD, OOD)
  • Tech Lead experience

With around 130 people in the company in the UK, they’re part of a wider global technology business with over 4500 people across 10+ countries. It’s a great time to join as they develop a brand new range of innovative products and enhance existing core applications through an extensive development programme. You’ll be helping pharmacies across the UK deliver additional health benefits to customers, in turn helping hospitals and GPs by freeing up time and money for critical NHS services.

They team work in modern, open plan offices with floor to ceiling windows, break out spaces and a great eating area. They engender an open, empowered culture where everyone pulls together and is passionate about the solutions they deliver and the impact they have on patient healthcare.

They offer competitive salaries and a great benefits package as well as free fruit and a day each month to look outside your role at topics that interest you – plus the chance to progress personally and professionally, as there is potential for this position to be, or develop into, a Tech Lead role.
