Cloud Developer - Home based/remote

Newton Blue is the on-site recruiter for a number of the UK's leading healthcare and tech Co's. We're currently recruiting for an ambitious and driven Graduate level Cloud Developer for one of the UK’s leading healthcare Tech Co’s, delivering innovative solutions for the NHS, GP Practices, Dispensing Pharmacies and Healthcare Data research. Their solutions, and the work you would be doing, play a pivotal role in helping the NHS deliver a better service, improving patient outcomes and the health of the UK’s population.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a highly productive, self-organising SCRUM team, responsible for innovating on the Public Cloud to help them deliver their next generation healthcare systems. You will be working on contracts for UK health bodies and you will be responsible for the full delivery lifecycle, including automated testing and deployment.

You will follow best practices for modern software development focused on the managed services and serverless technologies available on the Cloud platform.

What will you be doing?...

You will be responsible for working on all aspects of their Cloud solution, including:

  • IAC
  • Serverless
  • API Gateway
  • Security
  • Database
  • Supporting live services

You will be responsible for enabling other teams within the organisation to develop Cloud services by creating templates and standards for them to follow.

You will be responsible for understanding security and development best practices when working on the cloud platform.

You, along with all team members, are expected to actively participate in the team's ongoing self-improvement and you are also expected to engage in and lead SCRUM meetings, including stakeholder meetings. This is always within a supportive team, with help wherever needed.
