Full Stack Developer - Java React - North West

£45-55k DOE + excellent benefits package - Software

We're recruiting for an experienced Full Stack Developer (Java, React) to join a busy R&D team working on a brand new product suite for the pharmacy sector. 
They're evolving their existing applications and designing a new suite of integrated products, services and data to drive efficiencies to make their customers lives easier

About the role

You'll help to drive the successful development and delivery of their new suite of products. You’ll be using the latest tools and technologies and be actively involved in solutions design, design workshops and code review, as well as participating in Agile Scrum stand ups, reviews and retrospectives.  

What skills will you need?

You are an experienced and enthusiastic Full Stack Developer proficient in Java and front-end js/React development. A motivated individual with a genuine passion for producing quality solutions and code. Teamwork and collaboration is vital to the successful delivery of the product roadmap, so you’ll possess very strong interpersonal and communication skills, being confident in expressing new ideas to help driving innovation.
You'll have a degree in Computer Science or a related subject, and/or demonstrable commercial software development experience, along with knowledge of:

  • Java, Java EE, J2EE
  • Front end development with React and JavaScript/Angular/Node.js
  • Spring framework and MVC
  • Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns
  • Web Services (Rest, XML, JSON)
  • Relational and non-relational databases
  • N-tier architectures
  • Agile Scrum practices and development methods; e.g. Continuous Integration and Refactoring

If you do have any experience of mobile development such as Xamarin, and/or an understanding of UX design principles, it would be really useful too, but it’s not essential.
