This UK based media business is already a household name, enjoying some of the largest user traffic numbers globally 

Based in central London in a stunning building with a glass roofed atrium, multiple cafes and lounge areas. Lots of shops, bars and eating places right outside and less than 2 minutes to the nearest tube station.

• after extensive analysis they are about to embark on a period of transformation and change, with a technology and digital overhaul across the business - you will be involved from day one
• they are implementing new ideas, technology and architecture to ensure their continued success delivering better UX, development and design, increasing traffic and commercial revenue for the business
• you will be pivotal to its success

Your job:

• as Head of Architecture and New Technology, this high profile role will see you providing the vision and direction for technology innovation, overseeing solutions design and delivering business “value driven” technology solutions and improvements
• producing technology roadmaps that reflect commercial objectives and ensuring joined-up thinking and aligned architectural principles across group brands
• managing the architecture team which comprises enterprise architects, solutions design and security architects
• working within a talented new senior management team and reporting directly to the CTO you will have decision-making rights and responsibility for the overall architecture direction and strategy
• acting as an internal consultancy to the business, driving forward innovation and new ideas, ensuring the architecture stays at the forefront of technology, delivering performance and value
• managing and informing senior stakeholders and ensuring understanding of complex information

Your skills and experience:

• extensive experience within architecture at team leader, management or leadership level, working within a lean agile environment
• used to dealing with senior stakeholders conveying complex technical solutions in a non-technical manner
• knowledge of cloud-based, application and service integration
• large scale transformation project experience
• wide-ranging skill-set in business process management, data, systems and technology
