I’m working on a number of roles with one of the largest and fastest growing independent companies within their sector, offering not only hardware and software products but also outsourced support, IT solutions, storage and virtualisation to a UK wide client base.
They’ve got superb offices and believe in a proper work-life balance, there’s no need to sit in the office until 7pm just to look good in this company. Here you won’t be able to tell the Directors from the rest of the team. They could be sitting on a sofa having a coffee, playing pool or darts with the team or equally on the phone dealing with clients.
However the whole business has a driven, entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to achieve and succeed. They have some exceptional sales people involved in business development and account management many of which are earning over £100,000 per year.
You’ll have some experience within IT sales, from 1 year up to a whole lot more.
What’s more important though is YOU and your personality.
Are you great over the phone and face-to-face? Are you friendly, approachable, confident and great at building lasting relationships and making sales? Are you professional and positive, have a strong commercial brain and are a good negotiator with clients and suppliers alike?
