Product Manager / Product Trainer - Birmingham

If you’re looking for an unusual, challenging, varied role within product management then this could be the one.

This home and field-based hybrid Product Manager and Product Trainer role will see you working for a leading SaaS multi-platform software solutions company, enjoying UK wide travel and some overnight stays.

Joining an experienced product team you’ll be a product expert and brand evangelist. You will work closely with external clients and user groups, training them on the company’s software products and at the same time being a Product Manager, allowing user feedback in a less formal environment.

The company employs around 200 staff and has a UK-wide client base ranging in size from single user sites to large corporates.

For you:

You’ll be given the chance to take your CIPD qualification, learn new product management tools, implement your own strategies and ideas and obtain industry certifications. You will get to develop training material and your own skills all the time working within a flexible working model. Starting salary is around £40,000 plus car (or allowance) and bonus package.

Product management:

Acting as a lynchpin between external clients and internal stakeholders (development, testing, sales, marketing) you will be;

  • prioritising client feedback re market changes, software enhancements, suggestions and improvements
  • helping to evaluate metrics for the viability, ROI and market potential of these recommendations and requests
  • informing and presenting future plans, upgrades, new product development, enhancements etc. to clients
  • assessing UX feedback from external users

Training:

Training internal and external clients the role will;

  • involve 60% delivery and 40% design
  • provide the opportunity for you to overhaul the training material portfolio
  • include a mix of classroom-based delivery, on-site client delivery and in-house staff coaching
  • be a mix of IT software product training to external clients and internal training to the sales and technical service desk teams
  • require you to ensure that training material is constantly updated to reflect the company’s software product range
  • see you respond to customers bespoke training requirements
  • utilise a mix of webinars, e-learning, video, presentations etc.

You have product management experience and ideally have worked within an L&D environment. You’re bright, articulate, highly motivated with a desire to succeed and make a real imprint on the business. You’re friendly with a strong, confident personality, a visionary with excellent communication and presentation skills. You’re well organised and able to collate and present product information in an engaging and inspiring way.
