Programme Manager. 12 month contract. Home based anywhere in the UK. Client is based in South - South East

We’re recruiting an experienced Programme Manager for one of the UK’s largest healthcare software solutions groups to manage the successful delivery and implementation of their primary healthcare solution to their public sector client. The role requires co-ordination of a programme spanning technology, change management and benefits realisation in the form of a positive experience of change and the impact on the working lives of clinicians and health outcomes for service personnel.

What you’re looking for? Being responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the programme, developing and maintaining the programme environment, supporting each project within it, continuously creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum.

  • planning the programme activities and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards
  • managing the programme's budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses
  • engaging with respective internal stakeholders to develop a response and costing to the clients Scope of Work (SoW) requirements

What we’re looking for? An experienced Programme Manager with extensive involvement in software solutions delivery and implementation programmes. An effective leader who is able to motivate, manage and engage with multiple stakeholders

  • the ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
  • good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
  • good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties
  • good knowledge of business cases, budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • the ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems

Security clearance is mandatory for this position. If the successful candidates is not already security cleared we are happy to manage the process, however it can take around 10 days and any offer will be subject to successfully obtaining security clearance.
