Service Desk Analyst - Lancashire

£23,700 rising to £25k at 12 months - Technical Support

A Lancashire based Tech Company are looking to recruit a number of enthusiastic and ambitious Trainee Service Desk Analysts for its Tier 1 Service Desk.  A great opportunity to break into the IT sector and be full trained and developed in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.

Hybrid working available, 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.

What will you be doing day to day?

  • Support their customers in the use of the applications, hardware and services
  • Provide office-based telephone, email and remote access support.
  • Take ownership of incidents from start to finish, escalating and feeding back to the customer as required.
  • Maintain a high customer experience throughout the life-cycle of all incidents and problems
  • Troubleshoot PC hardware and peripheral issues
  • Raise and manage engineer callout requests
  • Investigate ADSL broadband issues and liaise with 3rd party suppliers through to resolution
  • Assist in software deployment and configuration projects
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the Service Desk

Essential skills

  • Customer service experience eg. Call Centre or customer facing role
  • Passion for technology and basic level of IT knowledge
  • BTEC or CompTIA qualification desirable or working towards
  • First class communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to learn and pick up new things quickly
  • Positive attitude and a great team player

In return you’ll be offered a great entry level salary, increasing at 12 months service.

25 days holiday increasing by 1 day every year.

Overtime rota with additional pay
