We’re looking for a talented and proactive Software Developer with great technical ability and a good head for business to join an expanding software team in Chorley.  Newton Blue is the on-site recruiter for one of the leading UK providers in supply chain management technology. Their team works with thousands of businesses to help simplify and digitalise their procurement processes through their powerful cloud based platform.

You will form part of the team responsible for the development and maintenance of functionality, maps and configurations ordered by their customers, on their market leading cloud based supply chain platform. 

 Your next role?

You will be working with C#  / SQL Server / Entity Framework and MS Visual Studio. You must have excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable nature, as this role will involve communication with various departments, to gather requirements and manage expectations throughout the process. You will work on projects throughout the whole lifecycle, developing in C#. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and forward thinking company who offer training and career development.

You’ll be experienced using:

•              C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web Services/API, JavaScript (Angular)

•              .NET Core/.NET 6

•              SQL Server – T-SQL, Stored Procedures

And have knowledge and experience of integrating with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, BC365/Dynamics, Navision, Xero as well as project management systems, ideally Atlassian JIRA.

You’ll have a solid understanding of the practical application of agile development methods and had some exposure to Source Control systems, ideally GIT

Desirable Skills (Training can be provided)

•              Any knowledge of EDI Standards and Protocols

•              Any experience of container technologies such as Kubernetes.
