Software Developer - Node.js / JavaScript / AWS Cloud - London

We’re now recruiting for an experienced Software Developer to join one of the UK's leading healthcare tech providers.
You'll be part of a dedicated Cloud team put together to specifically focus on managed services and serverless technologies on the AWS Public Cloud.

What will you be doing?

This Cloud team are responsible for enabling and supporting other dev teams across the business in developing high quality, intuitive AWS Cloud Services.
It’s a hands-on coding role which will see you working on the Company’s next generation healthcare systems through the full product delivery cycle. You'll promote best practice and application security, designing and creating templates, standards and guides to follow, then handing off the routine and defied work requirements to other teams, allowing this team the freedom to continue to innovate.
The team also share responsibility between them for managing their Scrum process; collaborating closely, leading and participating in meetings, stand ups and stakeholder engagement.

What they’re looking for

Ideally you’ll be an experienced Software Developer used to working in an AWS Cloud environment.  You’re comfortable collaborating with colleagues as well as internal/external stakeholders and will have experience of working in a fast-paced and fluid Agile Scrum environment. You’ll also possess excellent communication skills and are naturally inquisitive, not afraid to challenge and confident suggesting and shaping new ideas or innovations.

Key skills/knowledge for this role include:

  • Hands on commercial software coding experience
  • Node.js (will consider other JavaScript experience)
  • AWS (or other Cloud platform) experience to include;
    • SAM/CloudFormation/Lambda
  • Full product lifecycle

If you also have experience with any of the following, it would be really useful in the role (but its not essential):

  • Python, REST, OpenAPI; application security; continuous deployment; git; Atlassian suite;
